Day 1 Topics

Self-Empowerment: The Leader in You

This session will set the nursing leadership stage.  We will explore the impact of empowerment on effective workplaces with a focus on self-empowerment.  Discover how your personal style can positively influence your work environment and relationships with others.

Team Building: Working Effectively with Others

Learn the most effective ways to work with different personal styles.  We will also explore the components and mechanics of an effective team, as well as your personal leadership style.

Day 2 Topics

Conflict Management: Strategies for Resolution

Conflict is a normal and common part of human relationships and group process but is often uncomfortable and avoided.  In this session, we will explore ways to moderate interpersonal and group conflict in an effective way to promote positive workplace dynamics and outcomes.

Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: What, Why and How?

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are crucial for nurses to make autonomous and group decisions in today’s health care environments.  In the final session, we will explore frameworks and practical tools to support critical-thinking and problem-solving skills in practice.
