Strategic Plan 2025-2030 answers the question ‘What is Southern Health-Santé Sud working towards and how do we intend to get there?’ It provides a remarkable opportunity to make a difference, to do what’s needed to improve our systems, services and spaces and to collaboratively align our efforts to achieve meaningful outcomes for our communities.

Will the plan change before 2030?
Strategic Plan 2025-30 is now a living on-going plan that will continue to evolve in response to rapidly changing healthcare needs and environment always setting out a five-year planning horizon. We will review plans annually and adjust, if necessary, as a result of changing governments, provincial and local priorities.
Who led the strategic planning process?
Within the context of the province’s overall goals, health mandates the Board of Directors define the organization’s vision, mission, values and their priorities which serve as the strategic plan foundation. They work in partnership with management, providing guidance and oversight throughout the process but then leaving the execution of the plan to Southern Health-Santé Sud’s leadership following their approval.
What inputs directed the development of the strategic planning process?
The strategic plan has been shaped by information from environmental scans and from various sources of feedback. Engagement is key to the strategic planning process, ensuring that the diverse voices of our community are embodied. We draw on the strength and ingenuity of our communities, staff, partners, government. Key informant interviews, stakeholder group.
